Our Mascot Count

We decided to do a last minute revamp of the website to include school mascots. Believe it or not, this is one of the main reasons why the site is not up yet. We understand that having school mascots in our designs is vital to creating prettier clothing. Prettier clothing = happier customers. Not only will the mascot artwork allow us to compete with the big players in the high school market, but it will make our platform more flexible for the whole customization process.

Including school mascots has been a pain in the you know what. Out of the 1,766 unique high school mascots in the United States, we have a mascot image for 1,131 of them . Since users will have the ability to change their school mascot if they don't like the default one, certain mascot categories will have more than one mascot image that they can use. For example, if a particular high school's mascot is "Eagles", we give the user several eagle images to choose from like:

In total, our users will have 1,231 unique images to choose from. We store these unique images in approximately 400 folders on our server.

Our users will have the ability to choose from 22 color schemes for each mascot. Basically, just with our mascots (not including any clothing or text), we have the ability to give users over 20,000 unique mascot options.

Went to a Coloft.com event to check out what some of the other local startups are working on. Five companies pitched their technologies to a group of tech geeks and some investors. Can't wait until it is our turn to showoff our product.
